The Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Organisation has criticised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 66th Independence Day address, describing it as a collection of empty promises that failed to address the current economic hardship and insecurity facing the nation.

The President’s speech was a missed opportunity to provide concrete solutions to the suffering of Nigerians. Instead of addressing the reality of the hunger and insecurity in the land, he chose to offer vague promises of a better future that lack any clear roadmap or policy backing.

The campaign organisation further noted that the President’s rhetoric regarding economic reforms has not translated into tangible relief for the average citizen, arguing that the administration remains disconnected from the daily struggles of the populace.
