‘I’m healthy and ready to go’: Tinubu speaks after returning from extended vacation abroad
President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after spending four weeks abroad on what the Presidency described as a working vacation.
Tinubu arrived in Lagos from Paris, France, aboard Nigerian Air Force One, which taxied into the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport at about 6:22pm on Tuesday.
Speaking with journalists after being received by Lagos State governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and top government functionaries, the President, when asked about his vacation, said, “I enjoyed myself.”
Reacting to concerns by some Nigerians about the state of his health, he said:
Ready to kick, ready to work. There’s nothing wrong (with my health). Well, rumours will always emanate from politics. But the fact remains (that) I’m here—healthy, sound and ready to go.
