President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after a four-week working vacation in Europe, dismissing health concerns by declaring himself “healthy, sound, and ready to go.”

The President arrived at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on Tuesday evening, marking the end of an extended leave that began on August 30.

I’m here. Healthy, sound, and ready to go.

Addressing journalists upon his arrival, Tinubu dismissed rumors regarding his health, stating that such speculation is a common feature of politics. He emphasized that he enjoyed his trip and is prepared to resume his official duties.

The President’s vacation, which was initially scheduled for three weeks, was extended by the Presidency to allow for additional time abroad. During his stay, Tinubu spent time in both London and Paris, where he engaged in private meetings, including a dinner with French President Emmanuel Macron and discussions with various business leaders.

Tinubu is expected to remain in Lagos for a few days to mark Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary on October 1 before returning to Abuja to continue his official engagements.
