Tinubu returns to Abuja after Umrah
President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria, after his engagements in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he performed his religious obligations at Umrah (Lesser Hajj) in the Holy city of Makkah.
BusinessDay gathered that the President returned to Abuja, the nation’s capital, late Wednesday night and was received by top federal government officials, including Femi Gbajabiamila, his Chief of Staff, Christopher Musa, Minister of Defence and Tunji Disu, the Inspector General of Police, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
Onanuga had stated earlier that Prince Saud bin MISHAAL bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the deputy Governor of Makkah, Yakubu Gambo, Nigerian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, and Consul-General, Muazam Ibrahim Nayaya, accompanied the President to the airport, to see him off at the Jeddah International airport.
Before departure, President Tinubu had a brief meeting with the Deputy Governor of Makkah at the Royal Guest Palace in the Airport.
The president had departed Nigeria exactly one week ago for Saudi Arabia, where he led members of the Nigerian delegation to perform the Umrah rites, including the circumambulation of the Holy Ka’abah.
