Akpabio claims Nigerians Love Tinubu, says critics are attacking him for ‘what to eat’
Senate President Godswill Akpabio has claimed that Nigerians love President Bola Tinubu, alleging that some people criticising the president and his supporters on social media are motivated by financial gain.
Akpabio made the remarks on Wednesday while receiving members of the Arewa Revival Project, a northern youth organisation, at his office.
Addressing the delegation, Akpabio urged the youths to intensify grassroots mobilisation for Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, warning that they should expect criticism on social media.
He alleged that many people attacking the president and his supporters were being paid, while portraying those backing the administration as volunteers.
Most of those who are attacking the President and attacking these young men on social media are being paid.
The Senate President encouraged the group to engage directly with Nigerians and challenge what he described as misleading narratives about the administration’s performance.
He also urged the youths to remain committed to mobilising support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
He praised Tinubu’s tax reforms and efforts to amend outdated laws, arguing that the measures would strengthen the economy and create a better future for young people.
Akpabio further claimed that Tinubu had recorded significant development achievements since assuming office.
