Aggrieved APC Govs Meet Tinubu
Some governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who are reportedly aggrieved with the current state of affairs in the party have met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The meeting, which took place at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, is believed to be part of efforts to address internal friction within the ruling party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Sources familiar with the development indicated that the governors expressed their concerns regarding party management and the distribution of political influence.
The meeting provided a platform for the aggrieved governors to air their grievances directly to the President, seeking a resolution that would ensure unity within the party ranks.
While the official agenda of the meeting was not disclosed, it is understood that the President listened to the concerns raised and promised to look into the issues to prevent further fragmentation within the APC.
