Tinubu Orders Thorough Investigation Into Killing Of Islamic Preacher, Friend In Katsina

President Bola Tinubu has condemned the killing of prominent Islamic preacher, Sheikh Yahaya Ibrahim Masussuka, and his friend, Adamu Abubakar, in Dutsin-Ma, Katsina State, directing security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation and bring the perpetrators to justice.

The two men were killed in a drive-by shooting by gunmen on Monday evening, according to a statement issued by the State House on Tuesday.

The President described the killings as heinous, saying the attack was “an assault on the values of peace and sanctity of human life”.

Tinubu directed the Nigeria Police Force and other relevant security agencies to intensify efforts to apprehend those responsible for the killings.

He also instructed the agencies to strengthen efforts already underway by the Katsina State Police Command to track down the suspects and ensure their prosecution.
