Swimming SA president, CEO Provisionally Suspended
JOHANNESBURG – Swimming South Africa president Alan Fritz has been suspended over potential violations of the World Aquatics Integrity Code.
Fritz has been provisionally suspended along with CEO Shaun Adriaanse. They face allegations of provision of false information and fake documents, and abuse of power.
The Aquatics Integrity Unit (AIU) released a statement announcing Fritz and Adriaanse, are prohibited from holding any position within Swimming SA.
The AIU, which says further proceedings are still ongoing, is an operationally independent unit of the sport’s global governing body, World Aquatics.
