Sources: Tinubu moves return trip after last-minute change in plans
President Bola Tinubu has postponed his return to Nigeria following a last-minute change in his travel plans.
The president, who has been on a working vacation in Europe since August 30, was initially expected to return to the country this weekend.
However, sources familiar with the development told TheCable that the president’s itinerary has been adjusted, with his arrival now expected on Tuesday.
The president is expected to return to Nigeria two days before the country marks its 66th Independence anniversary.
The latest change marks the second time the president’s return has been pushed back since he began the three-week working vacation.
The presidency had earlier announced that the president would return at the weekend following an extension of his stay abroad.
The reason for the latest change in plans was not immediately disclosed.
