Reason Tinubu will visit just 12 states to campaign finally revealed
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has selected only 12 states he regarded as “strategic battleground and high-voter states” that he would visit and campaign in for his re-election bid.
The decision to limit his campaign appearances to these specific locations is designed to allow the President to balance his active governance responsibilities with his re-election campaign activities.
The campaign schedule has been structured to include intervals between visits, with the exception of a back-to-back visit to Enugu and Bauchi on November 28 and 29.
Mr. President should know that his visit to these states, if he eventually does, will not in any way change the direction or the determination of the people to vote him out.
While the strategy is presented as a way to maintain focus on governing, it has faced criticism from opposition camps, such as the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), which has challenged the President to visit all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory to witness the conditions of federal highways and the living standards of ordinary Nigerians.
