Osun election: 2,239 voters wait as only two BVAS machines serve Ikire unit
Voters at Polling Unit 011, Gantry Sawmill, Ward 9, Ikire I, in Irewole Local Government Area of Osun State, have endured prolonged delays in the accreditation process during Saturday’s governorship election.
The polling unit has 2,239 registered voters, but only two Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) machines are being used to process voters.
As of 12:05 p.m., some voters were seen sitting and lying on the ground while waiting to be accredited, apparently exhausted by the slow pace of the exercise.

The limited number of BVAS machines has slowed the accreditation process, leaving voters waiting for extended periods before they can cast their ballots.
The situation has raised concerns among voters over whether the available equipment will be sufficient to process the large number of registered voters within the voting period.
The delays come as voters across Osun State participate in the governorship election to elect the next governor of the state.
