FCT Minister to Amaechi: Don’t blame Tinubu for your mother’s death

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has slammed Rotimi Amaechi for blaming President Tinubu’s policies for his mother’s death, calling it a ploy for political sympathy.

Amaechi, who previously served as Minister of Transportation, had alleged during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today that the Tinubu administration’s economic policies contributed to the death of his mother by making it difficult for him to afford the medication she needed.

Wike accused Amaechi of bringing his late mother into political arguments ahead of the 2027 general election, stating it was inappropriate to use a deceased parent to campaign for political support.
