BREAKING: Nigerian Police Dismiss 19 Officers, Demote 24, Reprimand Others For Murders, Extortion, Misconduct
The Nigeria Police Force has dismissed, demoted, and sanctioned several officers over various acts of misconduct, including murders and extortions.
This was disclosed in a ‘police wireless message’ dated January 23, 2025 obtained by SaharaReporters. The police document said, at the forefront of the disciplinary measures, 19 officers have been dismissed and are set to face prosecution for various offences.
In contrast, DCP Coker Olalekan James was exonerated after investigations cleared him of any wrongdoing.
