The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has hinged President Bola Tinubu’s prospects in the Federal Capital Territory in the 2027 general elections on the administration’s infrastructure projects across the territory.

Wike said the delivery of major roads, particularly in satellite towns that had been neglected for years, would serve as a testament to the administration’s performance and secure the FCT for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Minister made the statement on Thursday after inspecting the ongoing Apo-Karshi and Bwari-Kubwa road projects, which he described as critical to the socio-economic development of the nation’s capital.

I have no fear of President Bola Tinubu losing the FCT in the 2027 presidential election, citing ongoing infrastructure projects as evidence of the administration’s performance.

Wike expressed confidence that the tangible results of these projects would resonate with residents, making it difficult for the opposition to gain a foothold in the territory during the upcoming polls.
