The Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, has said the ruling party will focus on the achievements of President Bola Tinubu’s administration in its campaign for the 2027 general elections, rather than resorting to insults or personal attacks against opposition candidates.

Yari said the party would run a responsible and issue-based campaign, presenting its record in government to Nigerians as the basis for seeking a second term for Tinubu.

He stated this on Tuesday in Abuja after meeting with President Tinubu alongside APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, to brief the President on preparations for the formal flag-off of the party’s presidential campaign.

According to Yari, the campaign council has resolved to focus on the administration’s performance and policies rather than engage in name-calling or personal attacks.

As a Council, what we say we are going to do? We are going to do a campaign with the records. A responsible campaign, no insults, no calling of names because there’s no name before us, but we have a record before us to show to Nigerians.

The former Zamfara State governor said the APC would use the campaign to explain the policies and programmes implemented by the Tinubu administration and appeal to Nigerians to consider the.
