Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has said he will resign from office if President Bola Tinubu loses the Federal Capital Territory and Rivers State in the 2027 general elections.

President Bola Tinubu should remove me from office if he fails to deliver the FCT to the President in the 2027 general elections.

The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has again vowed to resign if President Bola Tinubu does not win the 2027 elections in Rivers and the FCT. Wike made the vow on Saturday during a political reception in his honour. According to him, there is no point in retaining Tinubu’s appointment if he can’t contribute to the president’s political cause.

Wike said Rivers State will compete with Lagos State in votes for Tinubu in 2027, and he tied his exit plan to January 16 and 17. He stated that he must deliver votes or he has no political relevance.
