Executives of Seequre (formerly Smartcomply Secure) pose for a group photograph following the company’s rebrand announcement in Lagos.

Smartcomply Technology Solutions, also known as Smartcomply Secure, has rebranded to Seequre as part of a strategic move to expand its cybersecurity focus across Africa and operate as a standalone enterprise platform.

The rebrand, announced in a statement on Tuesday, allows Seequre to function independently with its own executive leadership team and strategic roadmap. The move, according to the company, is designed to strengthen governance, improve customer delivery, and support its planned expansion into Francophone West Africa and East Africa.

Chief Executive Officer of Seequre, Mr Daniel Obot, said the transformation was driven by the need for sharper operational focus and enterprise-level governance.

“Today is about clarity and focus,” he said.

“Evolving into a standalone business lets us ship like an enterprise platform, with stricter governance, reliable delivery, and deeper integration into the stacks our customers already run. With version 2.5 live and a November spotlight on SmartGuard Endpoint Security, we’re aligning compliance and defence in a way that helps large teams move faster with confidence.”

The new leadership team at Seequre includes Daniel Obot, Efe Ohwonigho, and Adetayo Adetokun, who will oversee delivery, partnerships, and product direction across Nigeria and other priority African markets, while maintaining continuity for existing customers.

Customers are already benefiting from version 2.5 platform enhancements, which include stronger control-based compliance, improved evidence workflows, and clearer reporting. In November, Seequre will introduce SmartGuard Endpoint Security, a next-generation cybersecurity posture management solution designed to provide real-time endpoint protection, behavioural analysis, and automated threat response.

Chief Executive Officer of Smartcomply, Gbemisola Osunrinde, described the move as a strategic evolution that positions both entities for sustained growth.

“This evolution creates a sharper lane for Seequre (formerly Smartcomply Secure) to serve enterprises that want fewer tools and faster outcomes,” she said.

“By aligning leadership, roadmap, and brand, we are better positioned to support customers across Nigeria today and into Francophone West Africa and East Africa. In the coming weeks, we will share additional updates on product, partnerships, and regional execution that advance our bold vision for the businesses we serve.”

The company noted that existing contracts, service level agreements, and support channels remain unchanged. Over the next 90 days, public materials will reference ‘Seequre (formerly Smartcomply Secure)’ to ensure a smooth transition and clarity for customers.

Seequre is a next-generation enterprise cybersecurity posture management platform that integrates automated governance, risk, and compliance with data security, endpoint protection, audit, and third-party risk assessment, enabling large organisations to maintain continuous compliance while enhancing their overall security outcomes.
