Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has reportedly informed Juventus directors that he aims to play in the Premier League next season, making him unwilling to join the Italian giants.

JuveFC reports that Juventus were handed a transfer blow during their latest meeting with Osimhen’s camp as the Galatasaray loanee is focused on securing a move to England rather than Turin.

According to sources close to JuveFC, “The Bianconeri outlined their vision and ambitions, hoping to convince the Nigeria international to make the switch to Turin. However, Osimhen reportedly responded with gratitude, politely acknowledging Juventus’ interest while making it clear that his priority is to secure a move to one of Europe’s top clubs.”

During the meeting, Juventus officials reportedly made a final effort to persuade the 26-year-old by providing a detailed explanation of the club’s long-term plans, outlining their strategy for competing at the highest level and their ambitions to reclaim dominance in both Serie A and European competitions.

Despite their efforts, Osimhen appears determined to move to a more competitive and globally recognised league, with Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea among his preferred destinations.

Additionally, he is reportedly open to playing for Paris Saint-Germain or Bayern Munich, as these clubs not only dominate their respective domestic leagues but also have strong ambitions in the UEFA Champions League.

Juventus reportedly responded to Osimhen’s stance with professionalism, accepting his position without pushing further.

The Nigerian striker has been in impressive form during his loan spell at Galatasaray this season, netting 26 goals and providing five assists in 31 appearances across all competitions.

Osimhen’s parent club Napoli are expected to part ways with him this summer, with reports suggesting they will look to offload him for around €75m.

The forward’s future has been the subject of constant speculation, with recent reports linking him with Barcelona as a potential successor to Robert Lewandowski. However, according to SPORT, Barcelona believe that Osimhen’s wages and transfer fee are well beyond their financial capabilities.

After rejecting a move to Chelsea last summer, Osimhen has been heavily linked with a Premier League move ahead of next season, with Manchester United reported as frontrunners for his signature.

Galatasaray are also exploring options to retain the prolific striker permanently following his successful loan spell in Turkey.
