Ondo Governorship Election: INEC Officials Set Up Voting Materials, Await Voters

The INEC officials were spotted awaiting voters in the Akoko South-East Local Government Area around 7.30am. 

Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the Ondo State governorship election have set up their materials in several parts of the state and now await voters to troop out and make their decision as the election gets underway Saturday.

Photographs shared on Saturday also showed that in Ondo West, officials were just setting up their materials around 8am. 

There is anxiety in the 18 local government areas of Ondo State as the Governorship candidates jostled to win the votes of the electorates. 

All hands have been on deck with the Independent National Electoral Commission, the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps raising the level of their preparation for the Saturday governorship election.

No fewer than 17 political parties were cleared by INEC to participate in the exercise with 1,793,914 voters set to decide the fate of the candidates.
