A former Big Brother Naija housemate, Hermes Iyele, has shared his unique insights on love and relationships, emphasising the importance of freedom and authenticity in romantic connections.
He said, “I feel like the human experience is multidimensional in nature and the person with whom you can be the most is what I think love is. Most times, the strongest form of love is with family because there is no pretending with family. So, if you can replicate that with a partner, that’s the most blissful thing that can happen.”
Iyele also addressed societal stereotypes surrounding love, asserting that differences should be embraced rather than shunned. He said, “I don’t believe in stereotypes. I feel like differences are exactly why the world is what it is and appreciating that is why the world would remain what it is or even evolve into whatever it has to be. People who want different things should be accommodated as long as it’s not a threat to life or society. As many differences that can co-exist should be allowed.”
Reflecting on his journey in the entertainment industry, Iyele said, “I am really big on doing my thing as long as space and time allows me. For the past few years, I have been trying to find my feet in the industry. I feel like I know where I want to be now and how I want to apply myself to it.”
