Chelsea were held to a 0-0 draw by Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday, ending their run of scoring in every game since the opening weekend.
The point extended the Blues’ unbeaten away streak in all competitions to seven matches (five wins, two draws).
Bournemouth, winless in their last five league games, started brightly. Antoine Semenyo looked to break his goal drought in the fourth minute, but his effort was ruled out for a marginal offside.
Chelsea gradually regained composure, though attacking chances remained limited, especially after Liam Delap left the field injured in the 32nd minute.
The Cherries remained the more dangerous side, with Robert Sánchez making a vital save from Evanilson’s close-range effort just before half-time.
Chelsea failed to register a shot on target in the first half.
In the second half, Chelsea improved slightly but rarely threatened Bournemouth’s goal.
The Blues’ midfield struggled to create clear chances, while Bournemouth’s defence remained solid, repelling sporadic attacks. Both sides saw late opportunities, but neither could find a breakthrough.
Chelsea finished with 54% possession and 10 shots, though only two were on target. Bournemouth had eight attempts, three on goal, but couldn’t convert.
The draw leaves Chelsea sixth in the league, while Bournemouth remain near the relegation zone, still searching for a win.
