England’s Hannah Hampton has been named the Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper, while Manchester City’s Gianluigi Donnarumma claimed the men’s award.

According to BBC Sport on Tuesday, Donnarumma played a pivotal role in Paris Saint-Germain’s first Champions League triumph before joining Manchester City this summer.

He was awarded the men’s Yashin Trophy alongside Hampton at the Ballon d’Or ceremony in September.

Other notable winners included Lizbeth Ovalle, who won the Marta Award for the best goal in women’s football with her scorpion kick for Tigres against Guadalajara in Mexico’s Liga MX Femenil in March. Ovalle now plays for Orlando Pride in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) in the United States.

The Puskas Award, for the best goal in men’s football, went to Santiago Montiel of Independiente for his overhead kick from outside the box against Independiente Rivadavia in the Argentine Primera Division in May.

Hampton, 25, played a crucial role in Chelsea’s domestic treble last season and helped England defend their Euro 2025 title.

She started every game at the tournament, including the final, where England beat Spain in a penalty shootout. Hampton also featured in every match of Chelsea’s unbeaten Women’s Super League campaign, winning the Golden Glove with 13 clean sheets.

“With club and country, we have achieved so much, and there is still much more for us to go and get,” Hampton said.

She also thanked England manager Sarina Wiegman and Chelsea boss Sonia Bompastor “for the belief in me this year,” and praised fans for their support. “We hear you cheering every single game loud and proud, and it helps push us on to go and get the win for you all. So, thank you very much.”
