CloudVantage has officially launched as Nigeria’s first indigenous cloud automation platform, marking a significant step in Africa’s digital transformation efforts.

The new platform aims to simplify and automate cloud operations for developers, engineers, and enterprises across the continent, addressing long-standing challenges around time management, complex onboarding, cost control, and security.

Chief Executive Officer Muhideen Ashiru said the company was founded to empower African businesses with world-class yet affordable cloud solutions designed for local realities.

“For too long, Nigerian and African businesses, including governments, have sought affordable, local cloud-automation solutions, simple and reliable options with a ‘pay-as-you-go’ model,” Ashiru said at the launch on Monday.

“CloudVantage has come to provide those dependable solutions. We are not just offering cloud services; we are delivering an automated digital advantage. Our platform eliminates unexpected hidden charges, finally making scalable, secure, and smart cloud technology accessible right here at home.”

Built on a foundation of intelligent automation, CloudVantage directly tackles key pain points in cloud adoption, including cost optimisation, automated provisioning, and real-time security monitoring.

Ashiru said the platform uses intelligent tools to automatically monitor, analyse, and adjust cloud resources to prevent the budget-draining costs common in traditional “pay-as-you-go” systems. It also includes built-in automated security checks and real-time monitoring to reduce the risk of cloud misconfiguration and potential data exposure.

“Our automated provisioning enables instant, self-service deployment of Virtual Private Servers and Virtual Private Cloud environments, significantly reducing deployment time and human error,” he said.

CloudVantage offers a full suite of foundational cloud services, including core computing, networking, storage, and resilience tools. It also provides managed services such as Database as a Service (DBaaS), scalable infrastructure hosting, load balancers for optimal performance, and floating IPs for accessibility.

The platform’s vault storage, persistent block storage volumes, and snapshot backups provide additional data protection and recovery capabilities for businesses of all sizes.

According to Ashiru, CloudVantage is currently open for sign-ups from developers, startups, and enterprises seeking to modernise their digital infrastructure with local support.

“We built CloudVantage for Africa, a cloud ecosystem that is secure, automated, and scalable, enabling every business to innovate faster and smarter,” he added.
