The Courier and Logistics Management Institute has announced plans for its International Conference & Investiture 2025, a high-level gathering aimed at shaping the future of trade, logistics, commerce and economic transformation across Africa.

Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Distinguished Professor Simon Emeje, Executive Chairman of CLMI, said the summit will be held on Wednesday, 26 November 2025, at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Positioned as a world-class platform, the event will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, innovators and strategic thinkers to examine the trends, challenges and opportunities influencing Africa’s fast-growing logistics ecosystem.

Prof. Emeje noted that the global logistics, courier and transport market is valued at an average of $60 trillion, adding that Africa must strengthen its competitiveness, particularly as the African Continental Free Trade Area gains momentum.

“The CLMI International Conference & Investiture 2025 provides a unique platform where strategies are formed, partnerships are nurtured, and actionable insights drive real economic impact,” he said.

“Nigeria, for instance, has depended on oil and gas for too long, but courier and logistics, when fully harnessed, have the capacity to generate 50 per cent of the country’s revenue.”

According to him, Nigeria’s logistics, courier and transport market is valued at about N25 trillion, underscoring the need for stronger policy direction, investments and capacity-building to fully unlock its potential.

Participants at the summit will engage directly with top industry executives and policymakers, gain insights into building sustainable, high-impact businesses through trade logistics, and explore opportunities for career growth, investment and commercial expansion.

Prof. Emeje described the conference as “a transformative platform where vision turns into impact,” adding that it will equip professionals and emerging leaders with the tools and networks needed to shape Africa’s economic future.

The conference, themed ‘Building Entrepreneurship and National Wealth through Trade Logistics’, will be chaired by Senator Aliyu Ikra Bilbis, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Communications. Senator Adedayo Clement Adeyeye, Chairman of the Nigerian Ports Authority, will deliver the keynote address.

Other speakers expected at the event include Captain Giorgio Enrico Del Celo, CEO of Primenext Logistics; Dr Sola Obabori, Executive Director, Corporate Services, NAHCO; Dr Sonny Allison, Founder, RedStar Plc; and Dr Ebere Njoku, Director-General, Nigeria-British Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Their sessions will provide a roadmap for repositioning Africa’s logistics industry as a driver of global competitiveness.

Prof. Emeje said participants can register through the institute’s website or via the provided direct link. He added that CLMI remains committed to advancing professionalism, excellence and innovation across logistics, supply chain management and trade operations through conferences, certifications and capacity-building initiatives.
