Bayelsa PDP coalition begins Tinubu campaign with fasting, prayers

The Peoples Democratic Party-led Rainbow Coalition in Bayelsa State has unveiled a campaign timetable to mobilise support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, beginning with three days of fasting and prayers in November.

According to the timetable, the activities will begin with three days of fasting, prayers and a solemn assembly from November 5 to 7, followed by a campaign dedication and thanksgiving service on November 8.

The formal commencement of campaign activities is scheduled for November 9, with the inauguration of the Bayelsa State Rainbow Coalition Campaign Council and the commissioning of the coalition’s campaign secretariat.

The coalition has released a calendar that includes the commissioning of a campaign secretariat and campaign buses donated by Wike on 9 November, the presentation of flags to its candidates, and a grand finale on 12 January.

The grand finale, which will feature the formal adoption and endorsement of Tinubu as the presidential candidate of the Bayelsa PDP and other parties within the coalition, is scheduled for December 12.
