2027: Tinubu May Face Election Rigging Allegations Even If He Wins, Sowunmi Warns
Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) spokesperson and political commentator, Segun Sowunmi, has stirred fresh reactions with his comments on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s chances in the 2027 presidential election.
Sowunmi said he “pities” Tinubu, suggesting that even if the president wins the 2027 election, his opponents may still accuse him of rigging the poll.
“I pity him (Tinubu) because after he wins, they’re going to start saying he rigged,” Sowunmi said.
He stressed that the ability of political parties and their supporters to accept the outcome of an election is critical to maintaining peace and stability in the country.
