Tinubu: ‘They Are Writing Figures To Cover It’ – Okonkwo Speaks On Economy

Kenneth Okonkwo, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has criticized the economic management of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, alleging that the government is manipulating figures to mask the true state of the nation’s economy.

They are writing figures to cover it. The reality on the ground is completely different from the statistics being presented by the administration.

Okonkwo argued that the current economic policies have led to unprecedented hardship for Nigerians, noting that the disconnect between government reports and the daily struggles of citizens is becoming increasingly apparent.

You cannot hide the truth forever. When people are hungry and businesses are collapsing, no amount of doctored data can convince them that the economy is doing well.

The ADC chieftain further called for transparency and accountability, urging the government to address the root causes of the economic crisis rather than focusing on optics and narrative control.
