2027: Makinde Vows to Undo Tinubu’s Hard Policies, Reset Nigeria in Four Years

The presidential candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) and Governor of Oyo State, ‘Seyi Makinde, has stated that if given the opportunity to serve as Nigeria’s president in 2027, he will “reset” the country within four years.

He noted that his proposed reset agenda would be executed through a transitional government of national unity that blends the experience of old and new political actors to produce a sustainable development blueprint for Nigeria.

The Presidential Candidate further explained his criticism of the APC led Federal Government’s economic policies, which he described as “voodoo economics.” He argued that the removal of fuel subsidy was announced without adequate planning or analysis, and that federal budgeting has lacked strategic direction and respect for due process.

If elected president in 2027, we can reset this country. Reset and give Nigeria a new security architecture. Reset and give Nigeria a new path for education. Reset our economy, utilising data science and logic, and reset our socio-political environment in four years.
