Why I prefer to hangout with losers instead of very successful people — Pres. Trump
U.S. President Donald Trump has stirred reactions after openly saying he prefers the company of losers because it makes him feel better.
Speaking at the Future Investment Initiative in Miami, Trump said, “I always like to hang around with losers, actually, because it makes me feel better.”
He added that he dislikes being around highly successful people, saying he doesn’t enjoy listening to their success stories and prefers those who listen to his.
The comment came during a question-and-answer session after his speech, where he encouraged attendees to ask whatever they wanted. When asked about a missing global leadership trait, Trump said “winning” is what matters most, stressing that success makes leadership easier.
He compared life to sports, saying results there are clear-cut, before repeating his stance: “You got a lot of losers, mostly losers fortunately.” Although he later tried to soften the statement with “I’m only kidding, sort of,” the remark quickly drew attention.
