Four adults and a 15-year-old girl have been charged following the death of a newborn baby in Sheffield, United Kingdom.

The baby girl was found at a house on Holywell Heights in the Wincobank area on Sunday morning after police were called over concerns for her safety.

According to the BBC on Wednesday, two men, aged 19 and 38, and two women, aged 20 and 37, have been charged with murder, causing or allowing the death of a child, and perverting the course of justice.

They are accused of taking steps to conceal the killing of the infant.

The 15-year-old girl has been charged with perverting the course of justice. She cannot be named because of her age.

Police said all five suspects have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court.

Those charged are Peter Horvath, 19, of Holywell Heights; Andrea Skopova, 20, formerly of Robey Street; Nina Horvathova, 37, of Holywell Heights; Peter Horvath, 38, of Holywell Heights; and the 15-year-old girl.

The investigation is continuing as detectives work to establish the circumstances surrounding the baby’s death.
