Nigerian Government Releases 2026/2027 Admission List For Federal Unity Colleges | Sahara Reporters

The Nigerian government has announced the release of the 2026/2027 admission list for successful candidates offered admission into Junior Secondary School One (JSS1) of the Federal Unity Colleges (FUCs) nationwide.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued by Boriowo Folasade, Director, Press and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Education.
According to the statement, the Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, approved the release of the admission list as part of efforts to ensure a transparent, accessible and orderly admission process for prospective students seeking placement in the Federal Unity Colleges.
The ministry said parents and guardians can check the admission status of their children and wards through the Federal Ministry of Education’s admission portal or the notice board of the relevant Federal Unity College.
The statement said successful candidates are required to print their admission slips and proceed to the Federal Unity College indicated on the slip for confirmation and completion of the admission process.
“Admission status and admission slips can be accessed through the FME Posting Portal: fmeposting.com.ng/auth/login,” the ministry said.
The Federal Government urged parents and guardians to check the admission status of their children and wards promptly and ensure that successful candidates report to their respective colleges as required.
The release of the admission list is expected to pave the way for the commencement of the admission and enrolment process for candidates who have been offered places in the Federal Unity Colleges for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The ministry reiterated that the admission process is designed to provide prospective students seeking placement in the Federal Unity Colleges with an accessible and orderly process for confirming their admission status and completing the necessary requirements.
The minister congratulated all successful candidates on their admission and urged them to approach their academic journey with diligence, discipline and commitment to excellence.
Dr. Alausa also reaffirmed the Nigerian government’s commitment to ensuring that the admission process into the Federal Unity Colleges remains transparent and accessible to eligible candidates.
Parents and guardians whose children or wards have been offered admission are therefore expected to obtain and print the relevant admission slips and proceed to the college specified on the slip to complete the confirmation and admission procedures.
The Federal Ministry of Education advised all concerned to take prompt action following the release of the list to avoid delays in completing the admission process for the 2026/2027 academic session.
