A new series, ‘The Struggle Is Real’, is set to start showing in early 2025 on YouTube.
The movie, which is directed by Temilolu Fosudo and Debola Ogunshina, explores the complex realities of young people into the daily lives of young Nigerians navigating love, friendship, and survival against the backdrop of a challenging economy.
The movie which was shot in Lagos centres on the life of a young woman— Pam— who seeks a fresh start, and Remi− a newcomer adjusting to life with diverse housemates. Actors in the series include Folaremi Agunbiade, Wumi Tuase-Fosudo, Akorede ‘Korexx’ Ajayi, Yemisi Fancy, Wendy Simpson, and Tobee Awosika amongst others.
While discussing the movie, Fosudo described it as an “intense and extremely enjoyable adventure”.
The producer added, “We wanted to create a realistic story of young people for everyone to enjoy. It’s a show made with our friends who are professionals in the industry, and we are excited for everyone to see it.”
