TECNO to reward fans in AFCON promo

TECNO said on Monday that it had launched a festive campaign aimed at combining the excitement of the Africa Cup of Nations with the Christmas season, offering fans the chance to win gadgets, cashback, and exclusive match tickets.

The company explained in a statement that the campaign includes two main initiatives designed to engage football-loving consumers and reward their passion. According to TECNO, the AFCON Christmas Promo encourages fans to share their “wow moments” from the tournament using official campaign hashtags, with participants eligible to win cashback rewards, TECNO gift items, and tickets to exclusive parties.

TECNO said the campaign also features the Cheer for Nigeria Challenge, where fans are asked to predict the number of goals Nigeria will score in AFCON matches.

The company added that those who make correct predictions could win up to 100 per cent cashback on selected smartphones, including the SPARK 40 and CAMON 40.

It explained that during the group stage, 20 winners would receive 100 per cent cashback, 30 winners would receive 50 per cent, and 50 winners would receive 20 per cent, with customers required to register their device purchases online or in-store to qualify.

The company further stated that it was running a Predict and Win campaign, allowing fans to forecast key tournament outcomes through an interactive H5 prediction portal and TECNO’s social media channels. TECNO said participants could predict the AFCON winner, top goal scorer, match scores, and goal scorers, with prizes ranging from 100 per cent cashback on smartphones, TECNO gift items, official jerseys, and match tickets to tickets for the AFCON final.

TECNO added that through these initiatives, it aimed to deepen its connection with consumers by turning football passion into tangible rewards, blending the excitement of AFCON with the holiday spirit to create memorable experiences.
